Social networks are increasingly being criticized for their inaction in terms of content moderation. By the media, by users, by content creators, by authorities, by brands… In short, by the majority of public opinion. No, the role of social networks is no longer limited to the simple provision of a tool for exchange. Their impact is so huge that they must now guarantee a safe, secure and healthy environment for all their users. In other words? No legal obligation, but a moral duty that is becoming increasingly important. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

5 key topics to ensure a suitable environment for all<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Since its creation in 2019, the French social network Mym has wanted to commit to this. Laying a good foundation, imagining a space for exchange that is healthy for all. Mym had already put in place a number of actions to guard against any content that could harm its users (certified creator profiles, prohibited personal data sharing, banned malicious users, etc…). Today, the social network goes further. Mym has just created an independent ethics committee by gathering experts on 5 key areas of expertise: cybersecurity, digital, women’s rights, digital law, entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This charter, which you can find here, was signed on November 12 and completes the groundwork we have been working on since 2019 to make the Mym platform safer for all users and of course to ensure that our core values: accountability, transparency and trust are respected. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
