The number of Internet users has increased by more than 6% over the last 12 months<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are now 4.80 billion Internet users in the world. That’s more than 61% of the total world population.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On social networks, the number of users has increased by more than 13% since this time last year. That’s about half a billion more users over 12 months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In total, there are an estimated 4.48 billion social media users worldwide, or more than 57% of the total global population.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Social media growth continues<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The timid recovery of activity at the beginning of 2021 has not put a damper on this growth. On the contrary. The number of unique users worldwide has increased by 520 million in the past year, an annual growth rate of more than 13%. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
