#01 – Cristiano and the Coke gate

A simple image or a simple gesture can make the whole planet vibrate. You must have seen the news: Cristiano Ronaldo pushing two bottles of Coke away from the camera during an interview at the Euro, in front of all the journalists. And the effect was immediate : A tornado of shares on social networks. The share price of the official sponsor has even fallen in the wake of 4 billion euros. Not a small thing ! It was the beginning of a real social trend. Paul Pogba did the same thing a few days later with a Heineken beer. And these actions have inspired brands. The proof is in this great hijacking of IKEA.

Good to know: Did you know that Cristiano Ronaldo is the most followed influencer on Instagram with +310 million followers? Since that buzz, his community has actually exploded…and his salary too. The revenue he generates on Instagram is over $40 million per year. That’s more than his wages as a player at Juventus.

#02 – Marion Cotillard and Antarctica

One of the most well-known French celebrities for her engagement? Marion Cotillard. She is committed to many causes ( deforestation in the Congo, global warming in general, healthy food, etc…) and she has been a member of the Greenpeace association for over 20 years. The last project she has embodied? A video shot last year in Antarctica to show the impact of climate change and raise awareness about ocean protection. In short, nothing to be ashamed of, when compared to other celebrities around the world.

#03 – JR and his gigantic works

The Roya Valley was recently hit by bad weather and floods related to the storm Alex. And the result was? Some very important damages on the whole territory and many construction projects to be scheduled to repair the whole. JR was asked by the media library of Tende to create an exhibition to replace “a tourism of catastrophe ” (who came to see the damages) into a cultural tourism. The result? Portraits of local residents are displayed in very large format on the iconic bridge of the area.

#04 – Moby and the income from his next album

Moby, one of the most committed artists of our time, announced in 2020 that he would donate all the profits from his 16th album “All Visible Objects” to very committed non-governmental organizations. The names of these NGOs? Brighter Green, Rainforest Action Network, Extinction Rebellion, as well as associations dedicated to animal rights, such as Mercy for Animals, Humane League and International Anti-Poaching. A very nice gesture, in the continuity of her long-standing commitment.

#05 – Angèle and the feminist cause

The Belgian singer has made ordinary sexism her fight. She embodies it in the clip of her famous “Balance ton quoi”. In parallel, she also supports two associations that help women. How did she do this? She made clothes in collaboration with the online store “Meuf Paris”, whose profits are donated to two associations that act in favor of women victims of violence. A Belgian association ” Centre 320 Rue Haute ” and a French one ” La Maison des femmes ” in Saint-Denis (Seine-Saint-Denis).

#06 – Enjoy Phoenix and the waste materials

if you’ve spent some time on social networks lately, there is a good chance that you’ve seen the posts of Marie Lopez (aka Enjoy Phoenix). She became known for her fashion and beauty related posts. She made a 360° turn to advocate for much more committed topics (like the waste in the post below). She also launched an online store with beauty products “with compositions that respect your body and the environment, all inspired by nature.”

A subject that makes people angry and one that we would like to stop hearing about: the Coronavirus. Yes, but in the meantime we have to deal with it. For some activity sectors, it is a very hard time, especially in the culture. Recently, more than 200 French personalities from the world of culture (Gérard Jugnot, Nagui, Grand Corps Malade, Zabou Breitman, Arielle Dombasle, etc…) asked the French government to take action to prevent the spread of the virus in France and in other countries and to encourage vaccination. A drop in the ocean compared to the scale of what remains to be done, but an initiative that has the advantage of being largely promoted.

#08 – Greta Thunberg, ambassador of a new era

We couldn’t not mention her: the famous Greta Thunberg. Elected Personality of the Year in 2019 by the famous Time magazine, she embodies the fight of a new generation concerned with finding answers to the cli
